Privacy policy

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your name, mobile number, email and relationship to your kūpuna; your kūpuna's name, phone number, preferred call time and language; your backup contact's name and phone number; and any notes you add. While the service runs, we keep a log of check-in calls, keypresses, alerts and replies.

How we use it

Only to provide the check-in service: to place the daily call, to text and call you and your backup contact when your kūpuna misses a call or asks for help, to send a weekly summary, and to contact you about your account.

Text messages

You receive check-in alert texts only if you agreed to them when signing up. Message frequency varies with how often your kūpuna misses a call; most weeks it is one summary text. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.

Who else handles your information

We use Twilio to place calls and send texts, and Render to host this website and its database. They handle your information only to provide those services to us. We never sell your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you use the service. If you stop, ask us and we will delete your information, except the call log and consent record, which we keep for up to one year in case questions come up later.
